A third-party provider receives names, phone numbers, or addresses entered in a search form; our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. When you send a message, we receive its contents and use them to answer you.
Automatic Technical Data
Normal hosting logs can include an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review totals to maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and, when used, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
We use limited technical data to operate the service, diagnose faults, measure overall traffic, and improve pages. Visitor lists are not sold, and we do not create individual user profiles.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links lead to government record portals, libraries, archives, and outside search services. Information submitted after leaving is governed by that destination's privacy policy. A third party also supplies sponsored search results.
Limited Data Sharing
Hosting and support vendors process technical logs on our behalf. Analytics or advertising providers may receive the automatic information described above. Other disclosure occurs only when valid legal process requires it.
Safeguarding Information
An encrypted connection protects data in transit, and logs are retained only as long as needed for the stated purposes. Since visitors create no accounts, this site stores no visitor password or account profile.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
The Indiana Consumer Data Protection Act, Indiana Code 24-15, provides access, correction, and deletion rights in defined circumstances for data held by covered controllers. Public records are excluded from its personal-data scope. Because we retain very little, a request normally involves checking our contact mailbox and server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Records held by Indiana, Lake County, or Crown Point offices remain under the custodian's control, so correction or access requests for those records must go there.
